James (Jim) Choncholas is a Ph.D. student at Georgia Institute of Technology in the School of Computer Science working on security and privacy in distributed and decentralized systems. Jim received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Electrical Engineering and now researches applied cryptography in edge computing. He is focused on enabling new and existing applications by enhancing privacy guarantees using an approach driven by performance, scalability, and efficiency.
